Community Foundation Grants Over $1.3 Million to Nonprofits

The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties celebrated another year of charitable giving, granting over $1.3 million to nonprofit organizations through the Foundation’s funds. Funding priorities for this year focused on community revitalization. Grants were awarded to programs and projects that are working to enhance the community and the quality of life for residents.

“The Community Foundation is actively working to address the needs identified by local residents and facilitate positive change in our community,” said Bradley Hurlburt, president and CEO, Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. “Our funding priorities for this year’s competitive grants reflect those efforts. We continue to support our neighborhood-based organizations that strive every day to enhance our communities by making them safe, vibrant, clean and green.”

Organizations earning a grant this year demonstrated impactful strategies, creative expansions, further collaboration and innovative approaches to tackle our most pressing needs.

The competitive grant cycle opened in December and the process included letters of inquiries, full proposals, site visits, committee evaluations, and final committee recommendations to the Community Foundation board in May. A total of 38 organizations doing incredible work in housing, homelessness, community beautification, health and wellness, community engagement and leadership, and collective impact were awarded grants.
