COVID-19 Grantmaking Update

As we head into the seventh month of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we reflect on the work we supported during this health crisis and look ahead to what may be needed. The figure above highlights key grantmakers that have deployed millions of dollars throughout Palm Beach and Martin Counties to aid people in need. Now that Florida is in Phase II of reopening, what will happen to COVID-19 funding? We are still raising funds to support the local community as we anticipate the longer-term needs. Your clients can give to our COVID Response Fund directly or work with our team to open a Field of Interest Fund to help those most affected by the pandemic. At the Community Foundation, we understand the aftermath of this pandemic will be felt for months and years to come. Therefore, we continue to gather the best data, consult with local municipalities and industries, and redirect funding to help our residents. If you are interested in learning more, reach out to Abby Axelrod-Wunderman at
