Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Endowment Fund (est. 2015)

As stewards of one of Florida’s most significant and beautiful heritage sites, Loxahatchee River Historical Society maintains and restores the iconic 1860 Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and related structures, protects the surrounding natural environment and archaeological treasures, and provides exceptional visitor experiences via dynamic educational programs and exhibits.

Located at the confluence of the Loxahatchee and Indian Rivers, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum offers a rare glimpse of Florida history and nature at this federally protected 120-acre site. Each year thousands of school children and visitors from around the globe tour the museum, lighthouse, pioneer homestead and interpreted grounds, exploring Florida habitats and cultures and learning about the need for stewardship of our heritage.

The Loxahatchee River Historical Society was founded in 1972 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to save our region’s “History Shaped by Nature.” Funding supports educational opportunities that contribute to a unique sense of place for all community members, especially students.
