About the Fund
United Way of Palm Beach County Endowment Fund (est. 2017)
United Way of Palm Beach County’s mission is to ensure that everyone in Palm Beach County has access to the basics: a quality education, a place to live, financial stability, good medical care, and enough to eat. We fund 100 vital programs and initiatives provided by more than 60 community partners. Our vision is that Palm Beach County would be a community where all individuals and families achieve their full potential.
United Way of Palm Beach County, formerly known as the Community Chest, was formed in 1929 in response to the devastating 1928 hurricane. 90 years and $300 million later, we are still serving our community.
We act as a convener who unites all sectors of the community – business, education, local government, nonprofits, faith based, labor unions and the media – to identify issues and collaborate on solutions affecting our community. Whether we are connecting people with basic needs or helping when disaster strikes, United Way of Palm Beach County is a champion for those in our community who need a helping hand.
