Community Foundation for Palm Beach & Martin Counties is proud to welcome new fundholder Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation. The organization’s new endowment fund is a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding that will support the nonprofit’s services forever.
“Our endowment fund will ensure that we will always be able to enhance the arts and academic programs at Dreyfoos School of the Arts,” said Executive Director Kristin Lidinsky. “We chose to partner with the Community Foundation on this initiative because of their investment expertise and community leadership. We hope that our supporters will help us grow this endowment so that we can continue to do more in the future.”
Endowment funds provide a stable, predictable source of income for nonprofit organizations, and are a testament to the organization’s plan to sustain their future. The Community Foundation manages these funds and, like a community savings account, this permanent pool of assets generates income and grows over time. With the Community Foundation, nonprofits benefit from the Foundation’s 43-year history of adhering to donors’ wishes of building long-term, revenue producing assets that will benefit the community forever.
Founded in 1993, the mission of the School of the Arts Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) organization, is to enhance the arts and academic programs at the internationally recognized Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Funds raised by the Foundation provide for curriculum enhancements that cannot be funded through the School District.
Other nonprofits with permanent funds at the Foundation include Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, Easter Seals Palm Beach, Martin & St. Lucie, Families First of Palm Beach County, Florida Council on Economic Education, Gale Academic Leadership and Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
