The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties is proud to announce a generous $10,000 gift from the Florida Blue Foundation in support of recent Hurricane Milton and Helene disaster response efforts, with a focus on tornado-impacted areas in Martin County.
“We’re grateful to the Florida Blue Foundation for their partnership and commitment to community well-being,” said Danita R. DeHaney, Community Foundation President and CEO. “Their support enables us to respond swiftly and strategically in moments of urgent need, helping organizations on the ground to activate their relief efforts without delay.”
The Community Foundation established its Disaster Relief Fund in 2009 in response to the housing crisis and recession at the time. Since then, we have made disaster preparedness and relief a primary focus area, and have distributed over $6.1 million in relief grants to nonprofit partners in the wake of economic and health crises, as well as natural disasters.
