The FACE of Philanthropy
Danita DeHaney, president and CEO of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, is driving a bold vision of community transformation — and Martin County is at the heart of that work.
Since expanding into the county in 1991, the foundation has awarded more than $13.5 million in grants to local nonprofits and over $580,000 in scholarships to Martin County students. Under DeHaney’s leadership, the foundation is not only expanding its reach but strengthening its work—addressing urgent needs like early literacy, mental health, and hunger.
In the past five years alone, the foundation has distributed nearly $4 million in donor-directed and competitive grants in Martin County. DeHaney, now in her fifth year at the helm, has focused on empowering communities through strategic partnerships and responsive giving.
“Our mission is simple but powerful,” she says. “To connect generosity with need, and to do it in ways that make a lasting difference for the people of Martin County.”
With a growing network of donors and nonprofit partners, the Foundation continues to deliver on its mission: building stronger, more resilient communities—for good.
