Now in her fifth year as President and CEO of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, Danita DeHaney continues to redefine what community impact looks like. Under her leadership, 2025 was the organization’s most generous year yet, with nearly $29 million distributed in grants and scholarships, strengthening opportunity and connection across the region.
For more than five decades, the Community Foundation has served as a trusted partner for those who want to give where they live. As the region grows, so does the organization’s ability to meet the moment, with a focus on major community needs in mental health, food security, and cultural preservation projects like the African American Museum and Research Library.
“We live in an area of great wealth, and great need,” says DeHaney. “Our donors have confidence in the Community Foundation to be the bridge in between, putting our experience and convening power to work on issues that affect us all. My job is to ensure their philanthropy is powerful, easy — and joyful.”
