About the Fund

Dr. Ray Robinson Endowment Fund, Palm Beach Symphony (est. 2016)

Palm Beach Symphony logo Founded in 1974, the mission of the Palm Beach Symphony is to engage, educate, and entertain the greater community of the Palm Beaches through live performances of inspiring orchestral music.

The Palm Beach Symphony offers world-class concerts in historic and modern venues throughout the Palm Beaches and features internationally recognized artists as well as emerging young musicians. The local arts organization has also formed a number of alliances with local schools and other area cultural groups to become a cornerstone of the arts in Palm Beach County.

Ray Robinson This endowment is in honor of Dr. Ray E. Robinson, the previous music director of the Palm Beach Symphony and distinguished professor emeritus of music, who set extraordinarily high standards, introduced the symphony to its current Artistic and Music Director Ramón Tebar, and laid the groundwork for today’s professional organization. A champion of classical music in the Palm Beach community, this endowment will ensure that his work continues for future generations.
