About the Fund

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches Endowment Fund (est. 2016)

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches is where young people come to be extraordinary. We are Palm Beach County’s premiere community-based children’s choir. It is our mission to teach life skills through music by giving children an atmosphere of artistic excellence in which they develop teamwork and leadership skills, form supportive friendships, and serve as ambassadors in their community.

Young Singers is open to all singers in grades 2-12. Students receive challenging and rewarding instruction in music theory, vocal technique, and performance skills. Young Singers members learn teamwork and leadership skills, build self-esteem and make new friends. Our choir members obtain life skills through music education. Members consist of public, private and home-schooled children from all across Palm Beach County.

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches began in 2003 and is currently housed at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Over 350 singers attend weekly rehearsals divided into choirs based on age and grade. Our singers perform in two annual self-produced concert productions at the Kravis Center, as well as at many local community events and private functions. Additionally, Young Singers collaborate with other local arts organizations such as the Palm Beach Opera and Palm Beach Symphony. Our organization has received three MUSE Awards from the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, and in 2024 we received the inaugural “Arts and Culture Impact Award” at the Nonprofits First Hats Off Awards sponsored by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County.

Young Singers of Palm Beaches also produces community outreach programs. Two of our continuing successes are:

  • Prime Time After School Choirs – Young Singers oversees after school and summertime choirs throughout Palm Beach County at Title 1 schools, teaching children the basics of good singing, literacy through music and performance skills.
  • Choir in the Glades – Young Singers has offered free choral programming to children in the western communities since 2015. We provide desperately needed after-school programming to an underserved population.
