About the Fund

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches Endowment Fund (est. 2016)

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches is where young people come to be extraordinary. We are Palm Beach County's premiere community-based children's choir. It is our mission to teach life skills through music by giving children an atmosphere of artistic excellence in which they develop teamwork and leadership skills, form supportive friendships, and serve as ambassadors in their community.

Formed 14 years ago, Young Singers of the Palm Beaches is housed at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, where over 350 singers attend weekly rehearsals divided into six choirs based on age and grade. Our singers tour internationally and nationally, as well perform at many local community events and collaborate with other local arts organizations. Our organization has received three MUSE Awards from the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.

Young Singers is open to all singers in grades 2-12. Students receive challenging and rewarding instruction in music theory, vocal technique, and performance skills. Young Singers members learn teamwork and leadership skills, build self-esteem and make new friends. Young Singers members obtain life skills through music education. Members consist of public, private and home-schooled children from all across Palm Beach County.

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches also produces community outreach programs. Two of their continuing successes are:

  • Prime Time After School Choirs - Young Singers oversees approximately 30 after school choirs per year throughout Palm Beach County, teaching children the basics of good singing skills, literacy through music and performance skills.
  • Choir in the Glades - The newest Young Singers program, funded by the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties, PNC bank, and other major donors. The goal of this FREE program is to replicate the Young Singers in the western communities by reaching out to their numerous talented and gifted singers. This provides desperately needed after-school programming for an undeserved population.
