Over 132,000 people in Palm Beach County are food insecure, 38,000 of whom are children, according to the Palm Beach County Food Bank; in Martin County, about 15,000 go hungry. The Light House Café in Belle Glade is working to address this problem in a pocket of Palm Beach County that is often overlooked. Each year, it distributes nearly 40,000 meals to hungry children, adults, and elders. Check out the Light House Café’s story:
