Community Impact Fund

“Building vibrant communities through philanthropy ” is one of the guiding principles of the grantmaking at the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Each year the Foundation gives millions in grants and scholarships in the two-county region.

“We believe in building a more vibrant community where neighborhoods are healthy, housing is affordable and all people can develop to their full potential, ” said Brad Hurlburt, president and CEO of the Community Foundation. “Our funding priorities for this year’s competitive grants included affordable housing, arts and culture, foster care needs, education and special needs assistance to help empower our residents to lead their best life. “

Grant cycles open in the fall and the process includes letters of inquiry; invitations for full proposals; site visits; committee evaluations and scoring; and final recommendations to the Community Foundation board each May.

“We’re looking forward to supporting our grantees through all phases of their projects, ” added Hurlburt. “From a new youth orchestra program to the Palm Beach County Food Bank and efforts to keep our children safe – we all share a common mission to build a vibrant community in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. “
