About the Fund
Donald David Dahlberg was 16 and a junior at Jupiter High School when he died in a tragic automobile accident in December 1982. Don was a happy, friendly teenager who loved sports. He was loyal to his friends, teammates and school. His memorial scholarship was started by his parents to help graduates from Jupiter High School who are interested in sports.
“In his short life he had many friends and had established a rapport with many of his teachers. His interests and the ability to make meaningful friendships could have served him well in later years. This scholarship was established to benefit young people like Don who are searching for their special niche in life and desire to continue their education. ” – DONALD E. DAHLBERG
The Don Dahlberg Memorial Scholarship was the first memorial scholarship established under the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. We are grateful for Mr. and Mrs. Dahlberg’s commitment to higher education, and for setting the precedent for the establishment of future memorial scholarships within the Foundation. ” – WILLIAM E.
