About the Fund
WHO We Are
Friends of Fisher House (FOFH) provides support to the West Palm Beach Fisher House, located on the West Palm Beach VA campus, to ensure veterans and their families experience the comforts of home while receiving vital medical care at the VA or a nearby facility.
THE Need
Established in 1995, our Fisher House currently has eight guest suites but lacks an elevator and full accessibility. These suites accommodate 2,920 nights of free lodging each year. The new Fisher House will expand to sixteen guest suites, offering 5,840 nights of complimentary lodging annually, and will be fully accessible to veterans, and their families. Families residing at the new Fisher House collectively save $1.6 million on accommodation, fuel, and food costs.
HOW You Can HELP
Friends of Fisher House has initiated the Build it for the Brave Capital Campaign to raise funds through local community support with a goal of funding $5 million to enable the Fisher House Foundation to build the new Fisher House. Guests of West Palm Beach Fisher House
A family’s love and support during medical treatment helps the patient and speeds their recovery. We raise funds through private donations to alleviate the cost of lodging, food and other amenities for Veterans and their families.
