About the Fund
NAMI of Palm Beach County Endowment (est. 2018)
NAMI Palm Beach County is the Palm Beach County, Florida chapter of the state and national NAMI organizations, and has been serving Palm Beach County individuals with mental illness and their loved ones since 1983. NAMI PBC currently offers all services free of charge, to the residents of Palm Beach County, Florida.
NAMI PBC values the lived experience– connecting individuals in recovery from mental illness to those who may still be struggling.
NAMI PBC provides complimentary and lifelong education, support and advocacy for community members living with mental illness and their families.
NAMI PBC offers mental health education presentations to Palm Beach County students, teachers, and parents, building awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging utilization of mental health resources. By showing, from the individual and family perspective, the lived experience of someone as they try to navigate through the world of mental health services, NAMI PBC also participates in the education of healthcare providers and law enforcement personnel.
