About the Fund
MartinArts Endowment Fund (est. 2016)
Founded in 1980, the Arts Council of Martin County is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting the arts in our community. The Arts Council provides a wide variety of programs and services for the enhancement of the cultural life of our community. The Arts Council serve as the local arts agency in Martin County by promoting initiatives that support the visual and performing arts through exhibits, lectures, classes, and presentations. Dedicated to cultivating arts in education and art in public places the Arts Council serves our community by providing outreach and education programs which inspire a passion for the arts. Collaborations with other artistic and cultural organizations as well as individual artists benefit the community at large by providing greater access and connectivity between those who create and those who support the arts.
The Arts Council of Martin County serves an average of 2000 children annually through its arts in education program.
Connecting the Arts to Your Life
The Arts Council, through its Arts Education programs encourage the future generation of creative thinkers by cultivating an appreciation of the arts at an early age. The Council provides an inspiring Cultural Calendar for all members of our community with special events such as Artsfest, lecture series, demonstrations, and gallery openings. The Arts Council supports the career development of local artists and arts organizations with education opportunities, juried competitions, an artist registry, and opportunities for awards at our annual MArties Award Ceremony which honor both artistic achievement as well as community involvement in the arts.
